When we are not grounded we often feel scattered, low in energy, disconnected. Grounding is a wonderful way to bring life energy (eg. the spirit) back into the body. This gives us energy, clarity, happiness and contentment.
Find the method the resonates with you, try each of the following:-
1 Bring the focus to behind your eyes and envisage roots growing from your feet and/or base energy centre (root chakra) into the centre of the earth, the width of the body in diameter,
2 replace the roots with water raining or pouring into the earth
3 replace the roots with beams of light energy
4 try a combination of the above eg. liquid roots etc.
